Original language description
Reproduction (dam lines of grand parents and parents) and growth ability (HY PLUS grand parent and parent lines, HY 2000 parent line) including fatening performance and carcass quality of their offspring-final hybrids of two broiler rabbit gene pools were analysed. Does of HY PLUS dam lines achieved a higher litter size than the HY 2000 does. On the contrary, the HY 2000 does were characterised by e better health and therefore a higher number of litters per doe than the HY PLUS does. Better growth ability occured in the HY PLUS grandparent and parent in comparison with both the HY 2000 parent lines. The body weight of HY PLUS PS 59 bucks (sire parental line) achieved a body weight of 2515,0 g. The genetic predisposition for more intensive growth of thegrandparent and parent lines of the HY PLUS broiler rabbit is transferred to offspring-final hybrids. At the end of fattening period, the body weight of the combination HY PLUS reached 2795, the combination HY 2000 achieved only 2452,7 g
