Altogether 132 species of Dolichopodidae (excl. Paraclius spec.nov., which is prepared for describing). have been found in the study area, which represents almost half of the species known in the territory of the Czech Republic. Some of the species listed above are rare and the material collected often represents the second or even first record of particular species in Bohemia. Some faunistic information was published previously (see introduction), and the following are species new for the fauna of Bohemia (B) or for the fauna of the Czech Republic (CR), not yet published: Achalcus melanotrichus Mik, 1878 (CR) (1>, Bílina - Holibka, emerged from dead wood, May 13-July 24, 1998); Achalcus thalhammeri Lichtwardt, 1913 (CR) (2>>, Bílina - pond, 280 m a.s.l., June 19-24; 1996, 1>, Bílina, small pond, 260 m a.s.l., Malaise trap, July 24-Sept. 23, 1988; 1>, Bílina - Lom, nr. small pond, Sept. 23-Oct. 29, 1998; 1> 1+, Bílina - Lom, small pond, June 25-23July, 1998; 1>, Bílina - Jirásek III, d
