Altogether 37 species of Drosophilidae, comprising 51.4 % of the drosophilid species known from the Czech Republic, were found in the study area. Species with broad distribution pattern clearly prevail (Palaearctic species - 8 species, 21.6 %, Cosmopolitan species - 6 species, 16.2 %, Holarctic - 4 species 10.8 %), followed by European and temperate and North European species (5 and 4 species, 13.5 % and 10.8 %, respectively). Much smaller proportion belongs to West Palaearctic and Eurosiberian species(both 3 species, 8.1 %) and Eurasian and temperate and South European species (both 2 species, 5.4 %). Species preferring herb layer (Lordiphosa spp., Scaptomyza spp.) prevail in the material, typical forest species are sparse but including some generally rare species. Stegana nigrithorax (Bílina - Štěpánov, Malaise trap, 28.v. - 15.vi.1998, 1 female) represents new record for the territory of Czech Republic, Drosophila picta (Bílina - Lom, Malaise trap, 25.vi.-23.vii. 1988, 3 females, 2
