Hypotetic origin of Carassius 'gibelio' specimen with 125 chromosomes
Original language description
Carassius 'gibelio' is hybrid polyploid complex of genus Carassius. The individuals of this complex possess a variable numbers of chromosomes. The most frequent chromosome numbers fluctuate around 100 and 150 respectively. The individuals with around 100chromosomes represent diploid level while those with around 150 triploid one. However during our studies of genetic markers of Carassius 'gibelio' in the Czech Republic we discovered a specimen with approximately 125 chromosomes. Here we hypothesize theorigin of such individual
