The aim of the research was to judge the effect of variety and growing locality on the content of starch and other indicators of technological quality and to give attention particularly to the possibilities of cultivation of starch-making wheats in marginal regions. From the evaluated set of varieties showed the best results varieties Siria, Estica, Šárka, Contra and Versailles.
