Diversity and distribution of weed beet in the Czech Republic
Original language description
Monitoring of weed beet occurance was conducted in sugar beet fields in the Czech Republic. Morphological and genetical variability was studied in selected sugar beet fields with weed beet weediness. Weed beets showed a high degree of phenotypic variability of studied traits as coloration of roots, hypocotyl and stem, and root and stem branching. Genetic similarity to cocultivated varieties higher than 50% was found in 10 tested populations.
