New records of Tachinidae (Diptera) from Czech Republic and Slovakia, with a revised check-list

Original language description

Records of 39 species new to the Czech Republic and of 11 species new to Slovakia are given. Several species, known from the Czech Republic, are new faunistic records for the historical territories of Bohemia (12 species) and Moravia (12 species). The current nomenclature is given and a review of nomenclatural changes is included. As a result of the extensive investigation of this family in recent years, 9 species from the Czech Republic and 16 from Slovakia are deleted. Species previousely omitted fromthe check-list are added, from the Czech Republic (2 species), from Moravia (1 species) and from Slovakia (6 species). In old collections from both republics, a further 2 probable new species were found, thought they cannot be assigned to either republic. A new revised list which includes 462 taxa from the Czech Republic (+1 probable species) and 436 taxa from Slovakia (+1 probable species) has been compiled.
