Noxious invasive weed species on arable land in the Czech Republic

  • Original language description

The weed species spectrum is not unchangeable. While some species become rare in their abundance or can extinct, another ones can colonise new areas and can be classified as invasive species. The most recent list of alien invasive weed species of the Czech Republic contains more than forty records. Some of these species are already serious weeds in the conditions of Czech agriculture, other ones have still only few localities of their occurrence. We focused on those ones, which can be found in agroecosystems more frequently as Abutilon theophrasti, Amaranthus powelii, Beta vulgaris, Consolida orientalis, Kochia scoparia, Panicum miliaceum and Solanum physalifolium.
