The decrease in gas conductance as affected by ABA-induced stomatal closure involves both an reduction of photosynthetic rate (PN) and transpiration rate (E). Cytokinins (CK) have the opposite effect on plants than ABA, e.g., they stimulate stomatal opening, PN and E, but the effect is depend on plant species and conditions.
