Heat shock response during the oogenesis

  • Original language description

The growing oocytes and fully grown porcine oocytes subjected to control and elevated temperature conditions were analysed by SDS - PAGE and immunoblotting analysis for HSP 70 expression. The presence of HSP 70 proteins was determined in growing oocytesand fully grown porcine oocytes under physiological conditions. The results revealed that groving porcine oocytes can respond to heat shock by expresion of HSP 70. The fully grown oocytes cannot synthesize increased amounts of HSP 70 in response to heatshock, but they have higher basal amounts of these stress proteins than growing oocytes. It is evident that the HSP 70 are accumulated during the growth phase of oogenesis.
