Modellling of transport processes in the soil porous system is a tool that has been developed for the purpose of providing a comprehensive quantitative description of the behaviours of the dynamic system. Comparison of observed and numerically simulatedwater transport inside a large undisturbed soil column is one of the important procedures for studies of water and chemical movement in soil. Measured dta on such a column transport experiment and inverse numerical modelling can be used to obtain soil hydro-physical properties of soil layers.
