The Effect of Tillage Systems on Unsaturated Soil Profile: Changes in Hydrophysical Properties

  • Original language description

Arable land forms an important cover of Earth surface in Europe and other parts of World. The tillage treatment is well know and applied treatment of the topsoil profile layer. The physical conditions of the top layer determine water infiltration into asoil profile and runoff losses. The tillage treatment (included no-till) of the top layer plays the key role in changes of the saturated hydraulic conductivity K of the treated layer. This study is focused on the influence of repeated tillage treatmentsin the same locality on K in a relatively homogeneous soil profile.
