The sum of effective temperatures (SET) and the lower development threshold (LDT) for cabbage aphid were studied in laboratory at different temperatures 15-27 °C, relative humidity 60-80 % and long day photoperiod (16 L : 8 D) . The lower development threshold for larvae on the plants for was 7.51 °C spring rape and for 7.04 °C head cabbage. The sum of effective temperatures for development of one generation reared on spring rape was determinated as 141.67 dd and for those on cabbage as 146.18 dd.
