The effect of N-S fertilizer application on the content of trace elements and quality of seed of oilseed rape

  • Original language description

The effect of application of two fertilizers - nitrochalk (27 % N) or ammonium nitrate sulphate (26 % N, 13 % S) on trace element uptake by winter oilseed rape (var. Bristol) growing in precise field experiment was investigated. The field experiments were realized on fertile luvisol. Treatment with application of ammonium nitrate sulphate showed higher biomass production within whole growing period in contrast to nitrochalk treatment as well yield was higher. The content of Mn and Zn in seed was significantly increased, on the other hand application of this fertilizer significantly decreased Mo content. The effect of N-S fertilization on content of glucosinolate concentration was determined in seed and results showed their increase.
