    Dynamism of outside and inside teat proportion changes in time of lactation

    Changes of teat inside and outside proportion during first lactation were measured in 70 dairy cows of Holstein and Czech Pied Cattle. Milk production, time of milking and somatic cells count was detected too. Outside measurement of teat was made with slide calliper. Inside measurement of teat ? length of teat canal, area of teat end and wall thickness were measured by ultrasound equipment, in using linear probe with 7,5 MHz frequency and length 5 cm. Outside and inside teat measurements before, immediately after and 3 hours after milking were measured. First measurement was made between 40th and 70th day of lactation and second measurement in period 200-230 days of lactation. Non-significantly higher values in outside parameters of teat in second partof lactation were detected. Inside proportions of teat, measured by sonography, were higher in second part of lactation at all times. Length of teat canal was significantly higher about 0,15 cm before, 0,16 cm immediately and 0, 13 cm 3
