    Two species of Diadocidiidae were found in the study area (= 40 % of the total Czech fauna). They are both relatively common and widely distributed in the Czech Republic, although the latter species is less frequent and prefers coniferous forests. - 46 -The same two species were also reported from the Bílina and Duchcov environs by MARTINOVSKÝ & BARTÁK (2000). Only one species (D. ferruginosa) was published from the Pálava Biosphere Reserve by MARTINOVSKÝ & ŠEVČÍK (1998). The remaining three Czech species of Diadocidiidae are substantially more rare and are collected mainly in mountain forests (cf. LAŠTOVKA & MATILE 1972; ŠEVČÍK 2005).
