    Altogether 14 species of Therevidae have been found in Podyjí NP (= 53.8 % of the total Czech fauna of the family). West Palaearctic species prevailed (5 species, 35.7 %), smaller proportion of species were Temperate and North European (3, 21.4 %), followed by European and Palaearctic species (2 both, 14.3 %) and Temperate and South European and Holarctic ones (1 both, 7.1 %). The numerous findings of T. eggeri are first records from the Czech Republic. The commonest species in the study area was T. handlirschi found practically in all localities. Another common species was T. cincta, which is usually localized in central Europe. The localities supporting the most diverse therevid species spectrum were Havraníky (9 species) and Liščí skála (7 species).
