    Altogether four species have been found in the study area (= 80 % of the total Czech fauna). The most common species in the study area was P. seminatione found in nine localities. In comparison with the platystomatid fauna of the Bílina and Duchcov environs (MARTINEK & BARTÁK 2001), the number of species found in Podyjí NP was higher (only two species in Duchcov and Bílina environs) and both faunas were dissimilar (Sörensen´s coefficient of similarity was only 50 %). The fauna of Pálava BR (MARTINEK 1999) was equally rich (4 species), but Platystoma gemmatione (Rondani, 1869) was found instead of R. syngenesiae and the coefficient of similarity was higher (75 %).
