Relations between activities and counts of microorganisms.

  • Original language description

Microbial activities and counts of microorganisms were studied during the years 2002-2006 as a part of research project. Soil and microbial characteristics were monitored in 11 localities almost 15 years. Tested localities differed in soil types (from luvisols, cambisols to chernozem), altitude 314 ? 625 m above the sea level and they are in several climate regions from warm, slightly wet to cold and wet. The counts of microorganisms (total bacteria count, actinomycetes, micromycetes, Azotobacter, oligotrophic and spore-forming bacteria) and microbial activites were evaluated. Mineralization test was performed in three variants. B ? basal respiration, G ? potential respiration with glucose amendment, NG ? potential respiration with glucose and NH4+ amendment. Also ammonification and nitrification (both actual and potential) tests were used for the determination of microbial activity of soils which were complexly investigated within mentioned project. All results have been evaluated usi
