Herbicide treatments differed in the efficacy on weed species. Herbicide treatment no. 1 . Maister showed lower efficacy especially to Fallopia convolvulus, but also to other species ? Tripelurospermum inodorum, Persicaria lapathifolia, Chenopodium album. This resulted in higher weed coverage on H1 plots compared to other treatments. Also number of weed species was higher on those plots, but only in 2014 with statistical significance. There were no significant differences in yield between the tested variants. Under the conditions of experimental site, reduced tillage nor mulch tillage are not decreasing yield compared to conventional tillage. This was confirmed in all herbicide treatments. There is also nearly no influence of soil tillage/mulch crop onthe weed coverage and number of weed species per plot. Alternative systems of maize stands establishment using reduced tillage and mulch of intercrops can be used under similar soil-climatic conditions without yield decrease. GM maize cu
