Original language description
Green frogs (genus Pelophylax) are present in two species and one klepton in the Czech Republic Pelophylax lessonae, P. ridibundus and P. kl. esculentus. Pelophylax kl. esculentus (Linnaeus, 1758) is considered as a fertile hybrid of the other two species. Although this frog is quite common, there is a general awareness about declining amphibian populations in a worldwide scale. Herein we report a case of hind limb malformation in a juvenile edible frog from the Czech Republic
