Helminth fauna of Murinae and Arvicolinae in the North-west Bohemia
Original language description
This study focused on helminth fauna of Murinae (Apodemus flavicollis and A. sylvaticus) and Arvicolinae (Myodes glareolus and Microtus arvalis) rodents from the north-west Bohemia (Krugne Hory). Our results showed that 39 % of the rodents captured in June 2020 was infected with helminths as Trichuris, Heligmosomidae, and tapeworms (adult and larva stage). Prevalence of parasite infection was higher for Murinae, it was 42 % contrary to Arvicolinae 36 %. We also focused on the differences in parasites infection of females and males. Prevalence of parasite infection of females were 71 % for Murinae and 42 % for Arvicolinae regarding to males it was 29 % for Murinae and 58 % for Arvicolinae
