Soil electric conductivity and soil physical properties amalysis

  • Original language description

Soil electrical conductivity measurements in non-saline soils are driven primarily by soil texture and soil moisture. Those factors can highly correlate to the other soil properties that affect crop yield. Electrical conductivity measurement of soil mayrepresent an easy and affordable method of a quick estimation of the soil variability within plots. Electrical conductivity of soil is correlated to some soil properties influencing its fertility and crop yield. The soil conductivity data may also be correlated to the historical yield, data collected from a direct sampling, such as number of species within the plot or variable dose of fertilizer applied. The soil conductivity data may also be used for selection of direct sampling points within the plot. The subject of the research was to analyze the soil conductivity data collected using contact sensor and to determine correlation between electrical conductivity of soil and yield. The data were collected on experimental plots of the Res
