This paper deals with the processing of construction and demolition waste (CDW). Building industry accompanies humankind throughout its history and its products are the most visible landmarks of the cultural and economic development of any society; at the same time, building processes uses and process huge amount of materials and produces large volumes of waste. The main reasons for CDW recycling include the new trends in the reduction of raw material extraction and frugal utilization of raw materials,environmental protection and increased accessibility of construction materials. There are also economical reasons for the use of modern recycled materials, which fully replaces gravel, sand and aggregate.
