    Emission characteristics of mixture pressed bio-fuels for a combustion equipment

    Using phytomass as a renewable source of energy constitutes an important potential substitute for fossil heating fuels. The aim of the test measurements was first of all to determine emission concentrations of monitored substances in the produced combustion gasses of various types of briquetted bio-fuels. During the actual measurements, monitored were emission concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O2), nitrogen oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulphur dioxide (SO2), hydrogen chloride (HCl) and air coefficient n. In addition, determined were individual values of combustion characteristics. The measurements of emission parameters of the bio-fuels moulded into briquettes were conducted in open fireplace accumulation stoves of 10 kW output. Since this is a topical issue, the experiment is a contribution towards attempts to reduce emissions and thus to reduce air pollution.
