    A lot of research is done to monitor the yield during harvesting. Combined with position system, this information can be used to produce yield maps. Site specific yield measurement and monitoring are fundamental elements of the use of precision agriculture in root-crops production. A continuous mass flow and yield measurement system for harvester based on belt weighing technology was developed and investigated. Our principle of measurement is based on the change of pressure level in hydraulic circuit according to potatoes or beets mass flow on sifting belt. Main subject of this article is laboratory measurement of mass flow rate. Measurement apparatus contains from hydraulic unit with gear pump, orbital actuator and pressure sensors, flow rate sensor and pto sensor. Data are saved to electronic unit ? Data logger by Hydrotechnik Co.
