    New records of the Ptiliidae (Coleoptera) from the Czech Republic

    The first records of nine species of the Ptiliidae from the Czech Republic are reported and the occurrence of two previously doubtful species is further confirmed. Ptenidium intermedium Wankowicz, 1869, P. reitteri Flach, 1887, Ptilium modestum Wankowicz, 1869, Acrotrichis danica Sundt, 1958, A. sitkaensis (Motschulsky, 1845), all from Moravia, Acrotrichis cognata (Matthews, 1877) and A. rugulosa Rosskothen, 1935, from Bohemia, Acrotrichis insularis (Mäklin, 1852), and A. silvatica Rosskothen, 1935, from Moravia and Bohemia, represent new records for the Czech Republic. Micridium halidaii (Matthews, 1868), M. vittatum (Motschulsky, 1845), and Nephanes titan (Newman, 1834) are reported for the first time from Moravia. The occurrence of Ptenidium laevigatum Erichson, 1845, and Acrotrichis dispar (Matthews, 1865) are confirmed in Moravia. The latter record also represents the first reliable data from the Czech Republic.
