Post-mining landscape interpretation: Medard locality as a case study
Original language description
The main aim of the field survey was to find interesting places that might be used for local interpretation. In addition to the field survey, an aerial survey was also carrried out to show the connections between the post-mining landscape and the landscape neighboring the mine. Historical data and facts about the Medard locality provide a basis for understanding the chain of events. The data that was acquired enabled us to propose some potential nature trails to be used by local residents and visitors.Places of educational and cultural interest will be identified and evaluated, with a view to being provided in due course with the infrastructure needed for their development.
