Simulation of dipole reflectors Electric field and RCS in limited open space

  • Original language description

In the introduction, the topic of passive radar jamming and the possibilities of using dipole reflectors (Chaff) to provide radar camouflage are described. The article further describes the 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional mathematical and physical simulations and rows of Chaff in free space. The article then concentrates on the rotation and distances of Chaff with regard to electric field and RCS of simulating Chaff puffs in limited space. The theoretical analysis is supplemented by complex computer based simulation. Finally, the required amount of Chaff for protecting aircraft in airspace is determined. The article provides a detailed overview of the physical processes occurring in a limited number of Chaff in open space by the use of a modern simulation software tool.
