Kvantitatiní charakteristiky tlejícího dřeva a význam hub při jeho rozkladu ve smrkovém horském lese v oblasti Trojmezná, NP Šumava

  • Original language description

This paper deals with the structure of the dead wood and the role of fungi in wood decay process in the Trojmezná old growth mountain spruce forest located in Šumava National Park. The amount and quality status of the coarse woody debris sampled on the eighteen established research plots were found highly variable. On average, the recorded amount of coarse woody debris ranged from 134 m3/ha on plots A to 64 m3/ha on plots C. Higher amount of the coarse woody debris was found on the plots situated in lower parts of the Trojmezná old growth forest compared to plots situated in higher and edge parts. The difference in dead wood characteristics between lower and higher part of the forest were probably caused by both, different site conditions as well as human impact.
