This paper deals with a transformation of pure even-aged forest stands to more mixed and uneven-aged stands on the example of the Forest range Klokočná. Fully operational management system according to axioms of shelterwood or selection systems is executed here from 1993. Investigation of this transformation process has started in 1999 and it is focused on the places with more distinct structure differentiation. On basis of the research analysis, there is possible to consider about the permanent uneven-aged forest stands in future here. But it's necessary, for successful achievement of this goal, to step by step continue in a transformation for long time. Transformation is still at the beginning and its result is depended on the effort and the management aim of the local forest manager and priority of the particular forest functions.
