Influence of B, Al, Ga, In on Composition of Bi(Pb)SrCaCuO System
Original language description
Samples Bi1.8-xAxPb0.26Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy were prepared to systematically examine phase formation due to concentrations x = 0 - 0.5 of B, Al, Ga and In in the range. All samples were mixed phases of 2212 and 2223. Boron enhanced the formation of the 2223 phaseup to x = 0.5, gallium deteriorated one. The amount of 2223 phase was increased with increasing content of Al and In (up to x = 0.2) and then was decreased. No systematic variations of the lattice parameters with the dopant level were found. Scanning el ectron microscopy observations revealed the presence of small and irregular amounts of Ga and In in the chemical composition of superconducting grains and the existence of the various non-superconducting phases.
