    The structural, magnetic and transport properties in the strontiumrich part of Bi$_{1-x}$Sr$_{x}$MnO$_{3}$ solid solution($xinlangle$0.5;1$rangle$) were examined by X-ray powderdiffraction, $DC$ susceptibility, thermopower, resisitivity andthermal conductivity measurements. All material characteristicsare significantly changed at the temperature of charge ordering,$T_{CO}$, which gradually decreases from $sim$~550 K for $x$=0.5to almost 0~K at $x$=0.9. Above $T_{CO}$ a temperature independentthermopower, whose absolute value increases with $x$, indicatespolaronic transport. Below $T_{CO}$ an activated transportmechanism of localized charge carriers is observed. The Weisstemperature decreases with $x$ and becomes negative for $x$=0.8suggesting antiferromagnetic interactions at high temperatures.The evolution of the above mentioned effects is accompanied by aprogressive decrease of orthorhombic distorsion at roomtemperature.
