    Evaluation of atmospheric gas oil properties using pyrolysis modeling

  • Original language description

    The micro-reactor pyrolysis experiments appear to be an efficient tool for middle boiling hydrocarbon feedstocks quality evaluation. Even if the laboratory conditions quite differ from the industrial pyrolysis conditions, the mutual comparison of individual feedstocks pyrolysis products yields can be utilised as the basis of industrial hydrocarbon cracking process management. A higher final boiling point of AGO feedstocks can indicate a higher content of aromatic hydrocarbons. But instead of pyrolysis stable aromatic nucleuses, the long alkyls, promoting the ethylene and propylene pyrolysis yields, are the main components of aromatic hydrocarbons. The artificially generated substitute hydrocarbons as the inputs for empirical mathematical model in formof neural network can be another tool for AGO feedstocks properties evaluation. Nevertheless, the improvement of the procedure for the selection of substitute hydrocarbons would be needed for the model optimisation.
