Original language description
Aqueous hydrogen peroxide is an environmentally friendly oxidant. The epoxidation rates decrease with carbon chain elongation. The water concentration has relevant role in epoxidations. The rate of epoxidation increases with higher water amount. The water molecules take part in formation hydroperoxo species. By selection of suitable solvent we can speed up the epoxidation rate. Methanol is the best solvent for epoxidation of ?-olefines in terms of reaction rate, selectivity and achieved conversion. TS-1catalyst suffers from deactivation. Deactivation is probably caused by strong adsorption of 1,2-epoxyalkanes or 1,2-alkanediols
