Photodegradation of Monuron in the Presence of Goethite and Carboxylic Acids
Original language description
A lot of research work has been dedicated to the photodissolution of goethite in the presence of dicarboxylic acids, i.e. oxalic, salicylic, malonic, citric, phthalic. Oxalic acid appears as the most efficient ligand for these purposes. Less research interest has been dedicated to the photodegradation of other organic compounds on iron oxohydroxides. Therefore, the aim of the present work was to study the photodegradation of monuron as a model compound in goethite suspensions, containing dissolved oxalic and citric acid. The influence of different experimental conditions was also investigated
