COMPARISON OF THE NOVEL HOMOGENEOUS AND HETEROGENEOUS ANION-SELECTIVE MEMBRANES FOR ALKALINE WATER ELECTROLYSIS
Original language description
This study summarizes results of characterization of the two novel alkaline polymer electrolytes developed to be used in the process of water electrolysis. The materials developed were tested with respect to their morphology, ion exchange capacity, ionicconductivity and performance in the laboratory water electrolysis cell. Within the framework of the tested operational parameters and duration of electrolysis homogeneous type membrane showed performance superior to the heterogeneous one. This was mainly due to its higher ionic conductivity and lower thickness. Further study is necessary to evaluate also time stability of this material.
