Original language description
Nitrification is the rate-limiting process in the design of activated sludge process. It is especially unstable during winter season (when temperature of activated sludge mixed liquor decreases below 13°C). In this paper the results of operation of two wastewater treatment plants with regeneration zone and bioaugmentation of nitrification are described together with some economic evaluation of the bioaugmentation method.

Czech description
Nitrifikace je limitujícím prvkem při navrhování aktivačního procesu. Je nestabilní obzvláště při nízkých zimních teplotách, kdy teplota aktivace klesá ke 13°C. V tomto příspěvku je popsán provoz dvou ČOV s regenerační zónou a bioaugmentací nitrifikace společně s ekonomickou stránkou problematiky metody bioaugmentace.
