Synthesis of galactosyl phosphonate and methylphosphonate
Original language description
Methyl galactopyranoside was converted to the 1-phosphonate by a reaction pathway consisted of protection of all hydroxyl groups, the transformation of 1-methoxyl group into acetate and final nucleophilic substitution with triethylphosphite. The reactionsequence was closed by the deprotection step. Both anomeric phosphonate were obtained, separated and identified by NMR, optical rotation and MS data.
