Biofiltration for odour removal
Original language description
Biofiltration is a useful means of cleaning ambient temperature air streams contaminated with volatile organic materials. It competes with other techniques such as ab- or ad-sorption, condensation, incineration etc. When the volatile compounds can be broken down microbiologically, the flow-rates are high and the concentrations low, then this process can be economically competitive.
