Activation of Lipase from Geotrichum candidum and its Enantioselectivity towards Xenobiotics Substrates
Original language description
Convenient procedures were developed for stimulation of lipase activity with specificity towards natural polyunsaturated fatty acids. Four strains of Geotrichum candidum were tested during this study. Lipase activity was determined and proved in the usedstrains, and for majority of tested media. Olive oil was employed as activator for the determination of the lipase activity. Calculated differences in lipase activity values were used as basis for optimizing of fermentation conditions. Majority of activated lipases represented extracellular lipases, which penetrated through cellular membrane into the medium containing activator. The activity of intracellular lipases was determined as well. To evaluate different media, that one containing peptone as nitrogen source was proved to be the best one of the tested series of media. The most remarkable growth of the cell biomass was also observed using this medium. The highest specific activity of all activated lipases was found in the second h
