Original language description
A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method designed to identify Campylobacter jejuni, Campylobacter coli and Campylobacter lari was improved for better detection limit with using quick and inexpensive preparation of samples. The PCR protocol amplified a 287-bp fragment corresponding to a portion of specific 16S RNA gene from thermotolerant campylobacters. There were tested three different quick extraction methods from direct detection of Campylobacter jejuni CCM 6214. The samples for extraction and following PCR were preparation from Park and Preston broth and from physiological solution. The best results were 101CFU/ml if the samples were preparation from physiological solution.
