Therapeutic application of peptides and proteins: parenteral forever?

  • Original language description

Besides parenteral delivery of peptide and protein drugs, which is the most widely used but certainly not favourite administration route of peptide and protein therapeutics, extensive emphasis has been placed on new non-injectable delivery methods, mainly transdermal, pulmonary, nasal, oral and buccal administration. These alternative peptide and protein delivery are described in the review article.
