The study was focused on heavy metal transporter-encoding bacterial genes metA and metT in sense of their phenotypical effect in eukaryotic model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae. When expressed in S. cerevisiae heavy metal-hypersensitive strain changesin metal resistance and accumulation were observed.
