    Development of immunochemical method for the detection of new synthetic cannabinoids

    Cannabinoids are a class of diverse chemical compounds that act on cannabinoid receptors on cells that repress neurotransmitter release in the brain. The aim of this study was to develop the immunochemical method for the detection of selected synthetic cannabinoids. Two formats of the indirect competitive ELISA were built as combination of conjugate of synthetic cannabinoids with bovine serum albumin (AŠ089-BSA) with polyclonal antibody Ab 197 (with detection limit 9 +- 3 pg/mL), and polyclonal antibodyAb 198 (with detection limit 8 +- 1 pg/mL). The reactivity with structurally or functionally similar substances was tested to verify the specificity of the assembled formats. Antibodies did not interact significantly with the test substances.
