Boldenone and its esters are illegally used (especially by bodybuilders and atlets) to enhance physical condition and increase body mass and muscle strength. The aim of the work was the development of immunochemical method for the detection of boldenone.Two formats of indirect competitive ELISA were built as a combination of immobilization conjugate BOL-3-OVA and antibody PL 131 (with detection limit 17 +- 7 pg/mL) and immobilization conjugate BOL-17-OVA and antibody PL 128 (with detection limit 14 +-7 pg/mL). Analytical abilities of developed ELISAs were verified on series of samples of matrix artificially contaminated with analyte. Recovery of the format with antibody PL 131 achieved 98 % and for variant with PL 128 103 %.
