Virulence and adhesion to inert surface in Listeria monocytogenes
Original language description
Listeria monocytogenes is a foodborne pathogen able to cause a serious disease in humans and animals. It is ubiquitous in the environment and able to survive inhospitable conditions by developing well organized networks - biofilms. The objective of thisstudy was to try to find a way for better understanding the relations in L. monocytogenes life process. Therefore, adhesion, the initial step in biofilm formation, as well as virulence potential of the strains have been studied.
