  • Original language description

    Hemp (Cannabis sativa) is an annual plant that is native to China and remained as an important material for food, industrial and medical purposes. As a source of cannabinoids belongs to controversial, but due to its excellent nutritional profile, non-gluten protein, fat and fibre it has a potential in bakery products. According to our laboratory tests, incorporation of hemp flour up to the level of 10% positively influenced bread sensorial properties. An addition to 20% hemp products such as hemp flour from hulled seed can be used for bakery goods with improved nutritional profile.
