Original language description
This work deals with the simulation of continuous chromatography separation of mannitol and other carbohydrates from a solution which modeled the composition of carbohydrates in the celery stalk extracts. For these purposes, the measured data from discontinuous chromatography was used. Individual discontinuous chromatography separation took place on two columns of different geometry with the same sorbent (strongly basic anion exchanger) under different experimental conditions. The continuous chromatography was performed using computer simulation in the Aspen Chromatography™.
