Structural analysis of polysaccharides from black pearl mushroom
Original language description
This research deals with the isolation and structural analysis of polysaccharides from the fruiting bodies (separately cap and stipe) of the hybrid Pleurotus mushroom known as the black pearl. Polysaccharide fractions were extracted with cold water, hot water, and an alkali solution; then, purified polysaccharides were obtained by anion exchange chromatography. The structure and monosaccharide composition of these fractions were characterised by FTIR spectroscopy and GC/FID.
